Position Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Manager plays a key role in shaping the organizational culture by overseeing all HR functions. This role involves developing, implementing, and managing HR policies and programs that ensure employee satisfaction, compliance with labor laws, and alignment with the company’s goals. The HR Manager is responsible for staffing, benefits management, employee relations, compliance, and training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee grievances, conflict resolution, and fostering a positive work environment.
Policy Development and Compliance: Develop, implement, and update HR policies in line with legal requirements. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., labor laws, OSHA).
Compensation and Benefits: Manage payroll, employee benefits programs, and compensation structures to attract and retain talent. Coordinate with external vendors for health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
Training and Development: Oversee employee training programs, performance reviews, and professional development initiatives to enhance workforce skills and productivity.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Track HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, employee satisfaction) and report to senior management on workforce trends and issues.
Health and Safety: Ensure the organization complies with health and safety regulations and that the workplace is free of hazards.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to support HR functions such as benefits administration, background checks, and recruitment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in an HR role, with 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS).
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Working Conditions: The HR Manager typically works in an office setting but may occasionally be required to visit other worksites or attend external meetings. This role may require flexibility in working hours depending on business needs.
