    We are seeking an HR Payroll Specialist to join our client's team. This role involves supporting the recruitment process, maintaining employee records, processing documentation, and providing general HR support. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

    This is a hybrid role, offering 1-2 days of remote work per week based on business needs.

    Core Duties:

    • Assist with the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including data entry, timesheet verification, and adjustments. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

    • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring that payroll documentation is kept up-to-date and compliant with legal standards.

    • Support compliance-related payroll tasks, including maintaining records for certified payroll and other documentation as required by government regulations.

    • Assist with the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration of new hires into the payroll system and proper setup for payroll processing.

    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies in a timely and professional manner.

    • Ensure I-9 E-Verify documentation is completed correctly for all new hires and escalate any findings to the HR Manager.

    • Track introductory periods and performance appraisals, ensuring all necessary payroll-related steps are completed.

    • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee payroll information, including salaries, performance issues, and other sensitive data.

    • Monitor and assign compliance-related training, ensuring that all team members remain in compliance with required training programs.

    • Assist HR with job description reviews, offboarding processes, and general administrative support as needed.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • High School Diploma or GED; AA degree in HR preferred.

    • Strong knowledge of payroll administration, with experience in processing payroll, record-keeping, and compliance with payroll-related regulations.

    • 2+ years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, with a focus on payroll (Required).

    • Proficiency in HRIS/Payroll software and familiarity with certified payroll, especially in the construction industry.

    • Knowledge of prevailing wage laws and experience with submitting certified payroll reports is highly preferred.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.

    • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in payroll and documentation.

    • Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.


  • Compensation
    $62,400 per year
