    For more than 40 years, Sunrise Landscape, a commercial landscape maintenance, design and installation company, has been serving West Central Florida with a commitment to landscape and service excellence. We have an opportunity for an HR/People Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida and support 3-4 of our locations in Florida.

    This role will be crucial in supporting the organization from a “people” perspective in the areas of employee relations, handbook/policy development, onboarding support and helping with HR projects/programs. To be a qualified candidate, you must have previous professional HR experience in a high-volume formalized HR department for at least 3-5 years. This role will work on the "Employee Experience" for our team members and be a critical part of the organization. The role is required to be bi-lingual (English/Spanish) speaking. Candidates without this qualification will not be contacted/considered.

    This role will be located in Tampa, FL but will have travel responsibilities from Tampa to Ocala to Pinellas and Bradenton.

    What You Will Do:

    • Act as the strategic HRBP for General Manager(s)/Department leader(s) for assigned locations in Florida.

    • Identify and anticipate People needs based on current or planned business activities and partner across the Talent & People function to develop solutions.

    • Deliver and implement HR strategies that support a high performing culture.

    • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct and document effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

    • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretations, ensure consistent application of such policies and provide labor law advice for North America.

    • Manage the employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. This process includes managing the employee experience upon arrival, completing new hire paperwork with a keen attention to detail, processing e-Verify and i-9 documentation.

    • Conduct Day 1 Onboarding for employees. This will entail spending 2-3 days per week in Onboarding/Orientation sessions to get our employees ready to perform their jobs.

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations during the onboarding process and throughout the employee lifecycle.

    • Participate in our Seasonal H2-B Visa Process with team members from various countries. This will entail organizational efforts, communication and employee management.

    • Add creative and forward-thinking ideas to the Talent & People team to help build the foundation for a growing organization.

    • Develop communications and cascade through assigned organization.

    • Support the roll out of and development of HR Handbooks by reviewing and developing one standard from previous acquisitions.

    • Support the organization's Annual Enrollment of Benefits process by participating and leading employee knowledge sessions and enrolling employees.

    • Manage employee title & job changes; terminations via HRIS; driver changes. Manage QLEs for benefits; answer PTO program questions.

    • Lead Performance Management activities for assigned branch/division/group. Support Annual Performance Reviews & Comp Letters.

    • Participate and support employee communications & advocacy groups as needed.

    ** What You Bring To Us:**

    • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in formalized HR/People Operations role at an organization with more than 500 employees. Prior experience in a mergers & acquisition environment is highly desired.
    • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is required.
    • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) a huge plus.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes, regulations, and data privacy laws.
    • Experience with HRIS platforms including configuration, reporting, and integrations.
    • Independent worker with good decision making abilities is key.
    • Strong attention to detail, tech-savvy and able to quickly pick up new processes and software.
