    Talon is a small business staffing and engineering firm providing innovative, end-to-end, rapid turn solutions to our government and commercial clients. Founded in 2019, Talon employs over 150 Aerospace and Defense engineers and other support staff to solve problems for a variety of applications to include aircraft, ballistics, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, missiles, and warheads. Talon has an office in Tucson, AZ that is providing staffing solutions, technical services support, and manufacturing to Fortune 500 companies.

    HR/Recruiter Description:

    As a HR/Recruiter, you will be partnering with Business Managers and Leadership teams to identify, develop and implement solutions across a range of HR activities including recruitment, workforce planning and performance management. You will be consulting with these leaders to assist advance the practices and initiatives within the business unit from an HR perspective. This role will see you providing a consultancy and advisory service to managers and employees on people issues and ensure adherence to policy, procedures, and statutory obligations in addition to focusing on business progress and improvement. This position will have responsibility for candidate sourcing and screening/interviewing, offer compilation and continued contact with candidates during the onboarding process.

    Primary Qualifications:

    • Develops, implements and manages human resource program and workforce strategies and policies to best achieve the organization's objectives.
    • Plans for and anticipates short and long-term human resource needs, following current trends.
    • Drive the talent management process to identify, develop and build leadership pipelines for the key roles.
    • Be a trusted advisor to leadership and translate business needs to HR priorities.
    • Provide sound insights and guidance to leaders on organizational design and workforce trends.
    • Keep inclusion and diversity at the forefront by developing high-impact practices that support business priorities.
    • Provide guidance on employee behavior and resolve day-to-day employee relations issues and concerns.
    • Develops and handles programs and initiatives that drive employee engagement and communication.
    • Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
    • Leadership and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

    • Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication and reasoning skills
    • Develop effective working relationships with Human Resources Business Partners, Hiring Managers, and Total Rewards to ensure a streamlined approach to the Talent Acquisition process.
    • Act as a strategic advisor within the TA function; develop and implement full life cycle recruitment strategies in partnership with Hiring Managers.
    • Drive the recruitment process by setting clear expectations and delivering on commitments to the business as well as internal and external candidates
    • Ensure that recruiting and hiring practices are compliant with all applicable local government agencies.
    • Participate in other Talent Acquisition projects as requested.
