Summary
The Human Resources Specialist is involved in supporting the development of quality team members focused on service, fairness, and respect. Key responsibilities include managing employee documentation, credentials, attendance, and personnel needs, ensuring they are handled accurately and on time per company policies. The role also includes general administrative tasks like drafting correspondence, filing, and report creation.
Primary Responsibilities
Support the Director of Human Resources in carrying out departmental tasks and responsibilities to ensure the company's Human Resources needs are current and compliant according to company, state, and federal policies and requirements.
Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding to include scheduling, orchestrating, and participating in pre-employment, HRIS system, and paperwork requirements.
Ensure the company and its team members are current and compliant with company, state, and federal policies as it relates to vaccinations, OSHA and driving requirements, and injury care.
Assist with disciplinary warnings, documentation, and personnel file maintenance.
Assist with creating and supporting team member retention and engagement activities which include scheduling, coordinating, organizing, and communicating accordingly.
Assist with recruitment needs as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Skills
A minimum of 2+ years of administrative experience with 1+ years in a similar industry
Excellent organizational skills are required.
Effective and professional written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to work efficiently, collaboratively, and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, OR equivalent work experience required
This is a full-time position, working 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This position may require longer hours and flexibility in hours dependent upon the business needs and during extremely busy periods. Minimum out-of-state and overnight travel may be required.
