    Sun Holdings, one of the top franchise organizations in the U.S. is seeking an HRIS Specialist to join the Human Resources team in Dallas, TX. Sun Holdings owns and operates franchises with the following popular U.S. brands: Applebee's, Arby's, Burger King, Golden Corral, GNC, IHOP, McAlister’s, Papa John’s, Popeye’s, and Taco Bueno.

    Job Summary:

    The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Specialist is a key team member who plays a critical role in defining how the HRIS can be optimized to provide a superior user experience that supports the organization’s growth and objectives. This requires experience and expertise with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group).

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.

    Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.

    Coordinates with IT, Payroll, HR and leadership to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, and implement functional solutions for existing systems.

    Serves as liaison between HR, Payroll, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.

    Collaborates with leadership and Payroll to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.

    Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.

    Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and custom reports.

    Actively identifies and resolves issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience.

    Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.

    Develops, documents and maintains all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.

    Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.

    Performs other duties as required.

    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required

    5 years’ experience working with multiple payroll providers

    Expertise with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) for and collaboration with payroll, talent management, onboarding, workforce management, workforce planning, analytics is required

    Hands-on HRIS system expert continuously seeking ways to improve and optimize use of HRIS platforms; experience with multiple implementations preferred

    Experience in reporting and data analysis

    Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

    Problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

    Ability to multi-task and balancing multiple/competing priorities

    Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams using good judgment

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and high level of confidentiality
