The HSP Direct Fundraising Internship is your opportunity to dive deep into the world of direct response fundraising, learning how to dissect donor behavior, optimize campaign strategies, and uncover the trends that drive results. What you'll do:

• Work with real-world donor and campaign data.
• Analyze response rates and donor behavior to optimize fundraising strategy.
• Collaborate with our team of Writers, Audience Builders, and Account Managers to drive real results.

What you'll learn:

• Understand how direct mail fits into a non-profit or campaign's overall development pyramid.
• Learn how to analyze fundraising results and key metrics.
• Learn hands-on techniques in SQL and Data Visualization.
• How the conservative movement uses data across different industries.

Capstone Project:

A/B Testing Analysis on Direct Mail Response Rates

• Objective: Analyze historical direct mail results to determine what messaging, creative, or offer variations lead to the highest response rates.
• Deliverable: A report on findings, complete with data visualizations and a recommended testing strategy.

About HSP:

HSP is a dynamic force in the world of direct mail fundraising, boasting award-winning writers and a commitment to conservative ideals. Internship Details :

• Duration: 11-week program from May 27 th - August 8th
• Format: 100% In-person
• Commitment: 40 hours per week (9am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday)
• Compensation: $23/hour
• Opportunity to attend company/client events in Washington, D.C.
• One-on-one mentorship
• Opportunity for full employment post-graduation

Eligibility :

Must be a current student (rising junior or senior). Preference is given to those studying computer science, analytics, and statistics.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. HSP Direct will not sponsor work visas.
