Are you passionate about conservative values? Eager to forge a career in writing? The HSP Direct Writing Apprenticeship is your gateway to mastering the art of political copywriting and fundraising. Come learn and work alongside award-wining direct mail copywriters in a fast-paced agency setting in our office in Ashburn, VA, located just outside of Washington, D.C.

What You'll Learn :

• Craft compelling direct mail copy from industry-recognized writers.
• Understand how direct mail fits into a non-profit or campaign's overall development pyramid.
• Learn how to message public policy and current events in ways donors understand.
• Learn how to analyze fundraising results and key metrics.
• Develop writing and formatting techniques that drive response and engage donors.
• Explore the intersection of storytelling and fundraising.

Apprenticeship Details :

• Duration: 10-week program from May 27 th - August 8th
• Format: In-person
• Commitment: 40 hours per week (9am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday)
• Compensation: $23/hour
• Opportunity to attend company/client events in Washington, D.C.
• One-on-one mentorship
• Opportunity for full employment post-graduation
