Position Title: HVAC Air Duct Maintenance Helper Location: 4323 Roland Ave Job Type: Full-time Salary: $16-$18 Shift: Morning (Must Be Available to Work Night Shifts)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HVAC Air Duct Maintenance Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining air ducts, vents, and HVAC systems to improve air quality, system efficiency, and the overall performance of heating and cooling units. This position involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure that residential and commercial HVAC systems are operating at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Air Duct Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize air ducts, vents, registers, and other HVAC components.
Remove dust, debris, mold, and allergens from ductwork using industry-approved equipment.
Ensure all HVAC systems are free of contaminants and ensure air quality standards are met.
Inspection and Maintenance:
Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems and ductwork to identify potential issues such as leaks, blockages, or damage.
Perform minor repairs or recommend further action if necessary.
Equipment Handling:
Safely operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums, air compressors, brushes, and other specialized tools.
Maintain and clean equipment after use to ensure proper functionality.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, explaining the services provided and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Provide customers with advice on how to maintain clean ducts and improve HVAC system performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Record details of each job, including work performed, equipment used, and any issues discovered during the cleaning process.
Complete service reports and provide recommendations for future maintenance.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with cleaning chemicals, tools, and HVAC systems.
Adhere to safety regulations to ensure the health and safety of team members and clients.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in HVAC maintenance, air duct cleaning, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of HVAC systems and basic maintenance practices is a plus.
Skills:
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
Good physical stamina, able to lift heavy equipment and work in tight or confined spaces.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined areas.
Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Certifications (Preferred):
EPA certification for HVAC systems or related HVAC training is a plus.
OSHA safety training or equivalent safety certifications preferred.
NADCA certification is a plus
Work Environment:
This position involves working in both residential and commercial environments, including homes, offices, and industrial sites.
Occasional travel (in company Vehicle) to different job sites within the local area (at times to AUSTIN) may be required.
You will be required to work with cleaning chemicals, so the ability to follow safety procedures is crucial.
