As an HVAC Service Technician Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentoring from experienced technicians in the diagnosing, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, develop their skills in the HVAC industry with and build a rewarding career. You will assist senior technicians in performing service calls, troubleshooting HVAC systems, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians in the maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Learn to diagnose HVAC system issues, troubleshoot equipment, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Participate in on-the-job training, both in the field and in the classroom, to gain knowledge and skills in HVAC technology.
- Help with preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including cleaning, inspecting, and replacing parts as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with clients.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean conditions.
- Comply with all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and submit daily through Service Titan.
- Participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Completion/ in process of a relevant vocational or technical program; experience with HVAC service a plus
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC systems and tools.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (HVAC trade school certification or apprenticeship is a plus).
- HVAC certification programs or apprenticeships.
- EPA Section 608 certification.
- Additional certifications or training in specific HVAC equipment or controls are advantageous.
