    The Estimator analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, and/or services. Representative duties include:

    Reviewing data to determine material and labor requirements, and preparing itemized lists.

    Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.

    Conducting special studies to increase cost-effectiveness of projects.

    Consulting with clients, vendors, and Department Managers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

    Cooperating with the Service and IAQ Departments on projects as assigned by the Installation Manager.

    Job Qualifications:

    Minimum of two years’ experience as an Estimator for an HVACR contracting or building-related services business.

    Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

    Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

    Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and the general public.

    Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, climb ladder, stoop, kneel and crawl in confined spaces, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Current HI driver’s license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current CPR insurance carrier.

    Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and technology, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Company software used for estimating jobs.
