Responsibilities
Install, inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Operate and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) systems to maintain system efficiency and reliability.
Perform preventative maintenance and regular inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Diagnose mechanical issues, recommend solutions, and execute repairs in a timely manner.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to support operational needs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment performance for compliance and reporting purposes.
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications Education
Vocational/Technical Degree preferred, but a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
5+ years of experience in a healthcare setting, with strong knowledge of HVAC-R systems preferred.
Certifications and Licensure
EPA Universal Refrigerant License (Required).
Class A Engineer License (Preferred).
Additional Skills
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for mechanical and HVAC-R systems.
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficient in the use of tools and equipment related to HVAC-R maintenance and repair.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a healthcare or similar environment.
