Responsibilities:

Designing code compliant & complex HVAC systems
Perform HVAC cooling and heating load calculations using Carrier HAP or similar programs
Designing complete HVAC drawings including ductwork & piping plans, schedules, details, riser diagrams, controls diagrams, and specifications
Coordinating design between all trades, including internal team members as well as architect/client
Handling multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining quality and deadlines
Performing construction administration services (submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field visits to verify construction is proceeding per the intent of the design and assisting in start-up of systems when required
Occasionally travel for on-site surveys to document existing conditions
Background:
BS Mechanical Engineering
5-10 years of experience required, preferably in a design firm setting
PE required
LEED accredited is a plus
Experience developing designs using AutoCAD and Revit
Knowledge and experience with implementing HVAC designs from schematic through construction
Experience with various HVAC systems including, central plant systems, chillers, boilers, VRF, DOAS, VAV systems, etc.
Knowledge of all applicable codes, IMC, IECC, ASHRAE, etc.
