HVAC Project Manager
Position Summary
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for overseeing, developing, and completing HVAC Division projects exceeding $10,000 in scope or as deemed necessary by the HVAC Supervisor. This role provides crucial support to the HVAC Division throughout all project phases, ensuring effective communication and scope management for team success and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct project walk-throughs with sales team members
Manage project costs, including review, reporting, and updating
Coordinate timely logistics for equipment and materials
Liaise with vendors and subcontractors as needed
Process signed bid proposals from sales, ensuring all necessary details are included
Facilitate open communication between team members and management
Participate in project coordination meetings with dispatch and field supervisors
Monitor project status and provide budgets with completion timelines
Implement effective problem-solving strategies
Seek guidance from HVAC Supervisor when necessary
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or certification in project management, applied science, or related field
10 years of experience in the commercial HVAC industry or equivalent training
Strong leadership, coaching, and training skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
High level of organization and diligent work ethic
Exceptional interpersonal and active listening skills
Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data
Advanced problem-solving capabilities
Adaptability to fast-paced, rapidly growing company environment
Flexibility in diverse situations with unknown variables
Skill in building rapport and collaborating with internal and external team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Dynamics 365, Outlook, and Teams
Understanding of modern office technology, including smartphones and mobile applications
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Capability to work on ladders, lifts, and at high elevations
Comfort working in confined spaces
Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions (hot and cold)
Reliable transportation for commuting to offices, jobsites, and events
