Job Title: HVAC Project Manager
Job Description:
Position Overview: The HVAC Project Manager oversees and manages HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing resources, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Examples of the Jobs ; Residential Replacement, New Construction hvac, Remodeling homes hvac. to full apartment building.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, budget, resources, and milestones.
Identify project requirements and allocate necessary resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
Coordination and Supervision:
Oversee and coordinate HVAC installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with project specifications, and address any issues.
Budget Management:
Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and financial reports.
Ensure projects stay within budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures.
Scheduling:
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and adheres to industry codes and regulations.
Conduct quality inspections and address any deficiencies promptly.
Safety Compliance:
Promote and enforce a culture of safety on all job sites.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and project closeout documents.
Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve project-related issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
Implement solutions to keep projects on track and prevent future issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
Implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a project manager in the HVAC industry.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation practices, and industry standards.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
PMP certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
Combination of office work and on-site project management.
Occasional travel to job sites and client meetings.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform site inspections and walk through construction sites.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
