    Position: HVAC Technician

    Location: Northeast OH

    About our Client:

    Our Client has been serving Northeast OH for decades doing both commercial and residential HVAC services (maintenance, repair and installation). This company has a rewarding pay structure that allows technicians to excel and earn as much as they are willing to put in the effort. They are looking to add a skilled HVAC Technician that will be highly motivated and will help the company continue to grow.

    HVAC Technician role:

    Technicians will primarily respond to service calls and perform planned maintenance regularly. Technicians may also be needed to assist in new equipment installations. This company offers on-the-job training as well as virtual simulation training. They also offer bi-annual wage increases as your skills develop. The starting pay is determined upon skills and experience. And they recently have adopted the New Comp Pay structure which allows technicians to excel as quickly as they desire.

    HVAC Technician responsibilities:

    • Install, maintain, modify, and repair heating and cooling systems
    • Servicing clients entire needs, making sure to always explain to the client what services you are performing.
    • Understand your sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
    • Perform proper inspections of client's entire HVAC system. Look for ways to prevent future breakdowns.
    • Maintain a clean, organized job site. As well as maintaining your truck as well.
    • Participation in all training exercises, morning meetings and scheduled events.
    • Physical demands including: climbing up and down ladders and stairs, ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs., working in tight spaces, operating handheld power tools, ability to work 40 hours a week and up to 12 hours in a day
    • Working environment: working both indoors and outdoors, working in proximity to hazardous conditions/equipment/situations, wearing safety attire such as goggle and other protective clothing, potential exposure to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting, exposure to very bright or inadequate lighting conditions, ability to work at heights up to 24 feet in the air.
    • 5-7 days per month of on-call emergency service coverage per rotation

    About You:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • Associated degree preferred but not required
    • 5+ years of experience in the HVAC trade. Demonstratable knowledge and skills for HVAC installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of systems and equipment.
    • Self-starter, reliable, flexibility with hours
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent interpersonal communications skills on a technician level
    • Maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
    • Must be able to pass random drug testing
