Overview Our full-service turn-key real estate investment firm specializing in property acquisition, renovation and property management is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to focus primarily on the installation and repair of duct work in residential homes. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and has a proven track record in residential construction and/or maintenance. This role does require HVAC certification as well as previous in-field experience with residential HVAC units. Candidates that have some experience with both duct board and metal duct are preferred.
Primary Responsibilities Detail duct and duct fittings for fabrication in the field and from drawings Layout, install and seal duct systems and HVAC equipment Make field modifications to ductwork to fit unforeseen site conflicts Install copper refrigerant lines (including brazing and soldering) Terminate power and thermostat wire at equipment Evacuate, charge and start HVAC equipment Make necessary repairs to existing units Carry out readings on machines Ensure that all work documentation is fully and accurately completed Keep and maintain a clean workspace
Role Requirements Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a role with similar duties Ability to read and understand construction drawings Ability to work overhead from ladders, man lifts and scaffold Comfortable working in closed spaces such as attics and crawlspaces Possess and be proficient in the use of hand tools related to the trade Produce quality work in a timely manner, adhering to company safety standards and protocols Have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and automobile insurance Be able to work in harsh environmental conditions with some exposure to bugs and rodents Functional knowledge of computers and technology
Total Compensation The compensation package for this role includes an hourly wage of $25-$30 per hour depending on skills and experience, and is eligible for project and timeline-based incentives as well as quarterly bonus after 6 months in role. We offer a comprehensive benefits package with immediate eligibility and a generous accrual of PTO and personal time. This position does not require overnight travel or travel outside the assigned territory as a regular occurrence. The role will require some use of a personal vehicle as the field team currently shares a company van with plans to obtain a second by end of year. Applicable mileage is reimbursed on a monthly basis with a quarterly stipend for vehicle maintenance.
