Halfaker has an opening for a JUNIOR SOFTWARE TESTER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:

• ​Support the development of large-scale software solutions, utilizing test automation tools and CI/CD frameworks
• Conduct various tests on product code, to include 508 compliance, performance, security, and functional testing
• Analyzes code and communicate detailed reviews to development teams to ensure improvement and timely delivery of products
• Conduct system stets for security, performance, and availability

Required Skills

Experience in documenting test plans, test strategy, test cases, etc. Experience in Software Development Methodologies such as Agile Scrum, Waterfall etc. Proven expertise of using bug tracking, version control management and continuous integration systems Excellent technical problem-solving and debugging skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously​ A minimum of one of the following testing certifications, or demonstrated comparable experience:

• Certified Software Tester (CSTE)
• American Software Testing Qualifications Board (ASTQB) Certification (Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced, Agile Testing, Expert)
• Test Maturity Model Integration (TMMI) Professional Certification
• Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Background as Test Engineer
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of modern software development and DevOps tools
• Demonstrated success implementing and/or maintaining test automation tools and practice
• Demonstrated experience performing variety of testing practices, e.g., performance, 508 compliance, security, functional
