JOB DESCRIPTION: APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
The Application Engineer is the primary technical resource for the field sales force, and is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. Working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate, the Application Engineer must be able to identify and provide reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. The Application Engineer must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops specifications and performance requirements for industrial equipment.
Calculates cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
Uses design knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.
Oversees installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
Evaluates machinery to ensure it has the capability to complete desired functions.
Analyzes alternative techniques and methods and recommends changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
Establishes schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
Shares technical information and training with other departments.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
