Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Handyman to join our team in the San Jose area! In this role, you will perform onsite handyman calls on an on call basis. This role will require to have a vehicle and drive to the location of the service call. We perform various service tickets for many companies throughout California. We primarily work in the commercial world but will occasionally do some residential work. We are looking for this person to be part time to start with the potential to transition to full-time as we expand in the San Jose area which is a new location for us. We also periodically have overnight jobs pop up which will pay at a higher rate than the normal service ticket hourly would.

Responsibilities:

Ability to understand what the service ticket is asking for and find the best solution to fix the issue

Will report issue directly to office staff who will get approval to perform the fix if prior approval was not already received from client

Have ability to perform handyman tasks such as fixing broken shelf, repairing drawers, repairing door hinge issues, replacing various light fixtures, board ups after break ins and many other service ticket requests

Have ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical work (Very minor requests in these specialties. We will dispatch an electrician/plumber for anything major)

Ability to learn some of the specialized tasks we perform for specific partners of ours

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a handyman / general maintenance

MUST have vehicle and ability to drive to service calls

Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)

Ability to lift 40+ lbs on a consistent basis
