Job Summary
We are seeking a Hardware Deployment Technician to join our team. As the Hardware Deployment Technician, you are responsible for the deployment and installation of hardware and peripherals. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our company and allowing us to reach our business goals. The ideal candidate has strong installation skills as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. This position will require 100% percent travel to client sites which includes weekly airplane travel and hotel stays.
Responsibilities o Drill and install televisions and brackets up to 85 inches. o Drill and install proximity cabinets on walls. o Drill and install desk mounts. o Troubleshoot problems with installs and ensure that all hardware is working appropriately. o Requires precise wire management skills. o Ensure that workspace is cleaned after installation. o Troubleshoot problems with existing equipment. o Test new installation connections. o Completes assigned tickets in a timely manner. o Provides support to assigned clients. o Reports errors/issues to Deployment Lead for resolution. o Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications o High School Diploma or GED. o A valid driver’s license is required. o Ability to rent a car. o Experience in the installation of hardware. o Strong problem-solving skills. o Strong interpersonal skills. o Ability to work independently and as a team member. o Strong attention to detail. o Ability to multi-task when necessary. o Excellent customer service skills. o Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions within the scope of the position. o Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Physical Requirements
o Varied activities including the ability to stand, sit, kneel, crawling, and bending (for extended periods of time).
o Ability to work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and elevated locations.
o Periodic need to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier pounds with assistance.
