    Job Description

    EDUCATION: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university or a minimum of 5 years of relevant Human Resources experience is required.

    CERTIFICATION: Professional certification is highly preferred.

    EXPERIENCE: This position requires 5 or more years of relevant human resources experience.

    JOB SUMMARY: Generally responsible for performing Human Resources related duties at the professional level including administering and reconciling benefits, payroll, administration of FMLA, and experience working with a self-funded benefit plan.  Work will be performed independently with minimal supervision. 

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations concerning benefits.
    • Managing, administering, and providing education of the Teammate Stock Ownership Plan (TSOP).
    • Administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of benefit programs and procedures; prepares and maintains Teammate handbook and summary of benefits.
    • Participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
    • Performing benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, reconciling invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to Teammates.
    • Participating in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
    • Assisting in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
    • Maintaining Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
    • Processing Teammate benefits and other changes in Deltek Vision/UKG.
    • Managing company benefit programs and researching new alternatives on an annual basis. Producing reports for comparisons for review by the Human Resources Committee.
    • Performing monthly benefit billing reconciliations for health, dental, life and vision insurance as well as any other vendors as appropriate.
    • Developing, implementing, and hosting health awareness programs including informational handouts.
    • Hosting Teammate benefit meetings for the dissemination of new plan information or changes.
    • Overseeing the input of weekly 401k contributions and coordinating with vendor on issues related to 401k.
    • Overseeing administration and audits of E-Verify/I9 compliance.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge of office administration procedures.
    • Experience administering self-funded benefit plans.
    • Extreme attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with extreme multi-tasking.
    • Ability to analyze data, make judgments and develop reports.
    • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with Teammates, clients, and vendors.
    • Ability to be discreet in dealing with sensitive situations and maintaining confidentiality in all areas.
    • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and extreme multi-tasking.

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and other software as needed.
