We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Lifeguard to join our team and ensure the safety and well-being of all patrons in and around the aquatic facilities. The Head Lifeguard will lead and supervise lifeguards, enforce pool rules, and contribute to creating a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a deep commitment to safety and emergency responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Oversee and manage the lifeguard team, including daily scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss pool operations, safety protocols, and team dynamics.
- Safety Monitoring:
- Proactively monitor all aquatic activities and enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Implement emergency response procedures and lead rescue efforts in case of an emergency.
- Training and Certification:
- Ensure all lifeguards are properly trained and certified in CPR, First Aid, and lifeguarding techniques.
- Organize ongoing training sessions, drills, and certification courses for lifeguard staff.
- Facility Management:
- Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the pool area and surrounding facilities.
- Report maintenance issues, equipment problems, and safety hazards to management.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to all pool patrons, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere among guests.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, injuries, and rescues, as well as daily attendance and water quality tests.
- Report significant incidents and any safety concerns to the Aquatics Supervisor or Manager promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college education in recreation or a related field is preferred.
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA).
- Certifications in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

- Physical stamina and fitness to perform rigorous swimming tasks.
