🍎 Head Start ERSEA Coordinator
Location: Bryan Texas
Job Overview: As a Head Start ERSEA Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the program's eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance processes. Your expertise in program compliance and your dedication to equitable access to quality early childhood education will ensure that eligible children and families receive the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
ERSEA Compliance: Ensure adherence to Head Start Performance Standards, federal, state, and local regulations related to ERSEA.
Eligibility Determination: Oversee the process of determining eligibility for Head Start and Early Head Start services for children and families, including income verification.
Recruitment and Outreach: Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to identify and engage eligible families within the community.
Selection and Enrollment: Manage the selection and enrollment process, including maintaining accurate waitlists and conducting enrollment interviews.
Attendance Monitoring: Implement systems for tracking and monitoring children's attendance and develop strategies to address chronic absenteeism.
Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records related to ERSEA processes and generate reports as required.
Family Engagement: Build positive relationships with families and support their understanding of program requirements and benefits.
Staff Training: Provide training and guidance to program staff regarding ERSEA policies, procedures, and best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Analyze data and identify opportunities for program improvements related to ERSEA processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
Previous experience in ERSEA coordination or related roles, preferably in a Head Start program.
Preferred: Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and regulations related to ERSEA.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with families and staff.
Attention to detail, data management, and reporting skills.
