Job Summary
Maximize Client Retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability. Oversee the process of checking in with our athletes daily.
Lead regular coach meetings and provide feedback to coaches on coaching the D1 way
Oversee all athletic programming and ensure we are giving our athletes the best product and experience possible
Membership sales, the Head Coach will be involved in the sales and upsell process. Regular roleplaying will be involved! Sales commissions will be a nice bonus!
Responsible for the hiring/firing/training/certification of all coaches.
Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes. A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
Starting and finishing workouts on time
Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
This position will start as an hourly role for the first three months, with the opportunity to transition to a salaried position upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
Key Responsibilities for the Position
Member Sales
Maximize client retention through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
Managing coaching staff
Lead athlete events such as combines, community events
Foster a positive, motivating environment for all athletes.
Modify and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns.
Qualifications
Valid CPR/AED
Proven training and coaching experience
Athletic background
Experience in Instructing classes of 20+ clients
Live in the area or seek to relocate immediately
2+ years of strength and speed training experience in a high school, collegiate, or professional performance/fitness setting
Preferred Certification: Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength & Conditioning Association- (CSCS from NSCA)
