As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled leader to oversee and optimize our merchant onboarding process.

    We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Merchant Onboarding to manage and streamline the onboarding process from a technological and legal standpoint. This role is exclusively focused on onboarding operations, including handling documentation, registering merchants in the system, and ensuring compliance. It does not involve sales acquisition, relationship building, or ongoing client management. The ideal candidate will have experience in merchant onboarding within payment processing or be eager to learn and undergo training to master this critical function.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and optimize the entire merchant onboarding process to ensure a smooth and compliant integration.
    • Develop and implement scalable onboarding strategies that enhance efficiency and support company growth.
    • Collaborate with compliance, risk, product, and operations teams to ensure all regulatory and security requirements are met.
    • Manage documentation collection, verification, and system registration for new merchants.
    • Identify and resolve onboarding bottlenecks through process refinement and automation.
    • Monitor key performance metrics related to onboarding and continuously improve workflows for better outcomes.
    • Develop training materials and procedural documentation to ensure consistent onboarding practices.
    • Stay up to date with industry regulations, payment processing advancements, and blockchain compliance trends.
    • Implement automation tools and technology-driven solutions to enhance onboarding speed and reduce manual efforts.
    • Analyze merchant feedback and data insights to drive process improvements and increase conversion rates.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in merchant onboarding, payment processing operations, or a related field; alternatively, a strong candidate willing to undergo training.
    • Strong process management skills with experience handling compliance, documentation, and operational workflows.
    • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in fintech, including security and compliance considerations.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to enhance onboarding efficiency and address operational challenges.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across multiple departments to drive alignment and success.
    • Experience with automation tools, CRM platforms, and onboarding software to optimize merchant integration.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving efficiency and scalability.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, mentor staff, and foster a high-performance culture.
    • Ability to analyze large sets of data and generate insights to refine onboarding strategies and improve conversion rates.

    Compensation:

    • Salary range: $100,000 – $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
