    About this job

    NIQ is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Communications Leader to drive both external and internal communications, elevating our industry presence and strengthening our internal culture. This role requires a strategic, hands-on communicator with the agility to pivot between high-level strategy and detailed execution across PR and employee engagement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and Execute PR & Internal Communication Strategies: * Shape a comprehensive PR strategy to build NIQ’s industry credibility, securing high-impact placements in tier 1 and vertical-specific publications. * Lead an internal communications strategy that supports NIQ’s mission and vision, keeps employees informed and engaged, and fosters a strong, unified culture.
    • Media Relations : * Drive media outreach and high-profile placements, with a focus on tier 1 publications and targeted industry outlets to establish NIQ’s thought leadership. * Work to amplify NIQ’s message through proactive story pitches and press releases that highlight both corporate milestones and industry insights.
    • Thought Leadership : * Develop and execute initiatives to build credibility for NIQ’s thought leaders, positioning them prominently in the industry. * Ensure that key organizational leaders, including executives, are effectively represented and visible to both internal and external audiences.
    • Internal Communications : * Serve as a trusted partner to executive leaders in communicating key messages to employees, aligning messaging with corporate objectives and employee interests. * Craft and deliver clear, engaging communications on company news, updates, and initiatives that reinforce NIQ’s values and priorities. * Partner with HR and organizational leadership to support culture-building initiatives and ensure transparency across teams.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration : * Work closely with sales, HR, and several marketing teams to ensure PR and internal communication efforts support broader organizational goals. * Collaborate with global counterparts to align messaging and strategy across regions, reinforcing NIQ’s global brand presence.
    • Agency Management : * Oversee the relationship with NIQ’s PR agency, ensuring strategic alignment on key media goals, brand messaging, and campaign execution.
    • Rapid Response and Agility : * Handle time-sensitive PR and internal communications with a sense of urgency, adapting plans to reflect market and organizational shifts.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in PR and internal communications, with a successful record of shaping and executing strategies that elevate industry credibility and foster employee engagement.
    • Strong media relations background with a history of securing high-profile placements.
    • Expertise in positioning executives as industry thought leaders, with demonstrated success in strategic storytelling and executive communications.
    • Experience with internal communications best practices, including clear, audience-centric messaging and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Strong organizational and workload management skills, able to balance strategic thinking with high-volume execution.
    • Familiarity with data insights, comfortable with interpreting and integrating data into both external and internal messaging.
    • Agency management experience, with an ability to guide PR partners toward impactful results.
