Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Projects to lead our project management team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial cost estimation to final installation. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical acumen, leadership skills, and a keen eye for design, ensuring that all projects align with our high standards of quality and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of Production Project Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide guidance in project management best practices, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all projects.
Cost Estimation & Budget Management:
Oversee the estimation process for project costs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with client budgets.
Monitor project budgets and financial performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and workflows, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Technical Design Oversight:
Collaborate with design teams to provide technical insights and support during the design phase.
Ensure that all technical designs meet industry standards and client specifications.
Sampling & Prototyping:
Manage the sampling stages of projects, ensuring that prototypes meet quality expectations and design integrity.
Facilitate feedback loops with clients to refine samples and prototypes.
Installation Management:
Oversee the installation process, coordinating logistics and resources to ensure successful project completion.
Act as the main point of contact for clients during the installation phase, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in project management within the design or fabrication industry.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and delivering complex projects.
Strong understanding of technical design, fabrication processes, and installation methods.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
