    Position Scope:

    The General Gym Manager has overall responsibility for effectively managing all facets of Get Fit Athletic Club toinclude customer satisfaction, effective recruitment and selection, proper training of the staff, employee personnel issues, sales & membership solicitation, facility cleanliness while ensuring the club is achieving projected membership/sales goals as well as all other established financial and operational goals.

    Major Responsibilities:

    Management Duties:

    · Meet or exceed club goal objectives in Personal Sales and accountable for overall club productivity

    · Properly manage and maintain Gym operational budget as given

    · Control payroll costs to fall within projected budget as given

    · Audit and approve submission of payroll to Corporate office.

    · Responsible for overseeing the sales process and systems to ensure that stats are 100% accurate and submitted on a daily basis via Email

    · Manage, monitor, and evaluate the performance of all gym-related managers.

    · Monitor the hiring, training and scheduling of all gym level staff.

    · Attend and participate in meetings with Consultant once per month, or as needed.

    · Ensure that all staff is adhering to staff uniform policy including uniform and name tags at all times when on duty.

    · Responsible for managing disciplinary actions involving all gym level employees.

    · Approves all schedules of each gym department.

    · Successfully completed the GM Management Training courses by Consultant

    Operational Duties:

    · Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service in a high volume club

    environment through personal actions and development of the staff.

    · Provide effective decision making regarding customer service issues.

    · Plan and promote special events for the gym on a monthly basis, using

    Consultant's Plan marketing as needed. Fitness Party (Theme)

    · Hold weekly department meetings which includes Operations Supervisor, Group exerciseDirector, Fitness Consultants, Personal Training Director, and Maintenance Supervisor

    · Inspect facility daily for cleanliness using the gym daily walk through list.

    · Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and operationally sound.

    · Ensure the functionality of equipment and physical plant with maintenance department on a monthly basis using the GM equipment maintenance checklist.

    Sales Duties:

    · Establish and maintain the company protocol for sales tours and price presentation.

    · Establishes and maintain an active referral system with the sales team Club OS

    · Develop and retain corporate client relationships through the sales team on a monthly basis

    · Oversee the hiring, training and develop of the sales staff.

    · Helps generate sales leads through Company–sponsored (walk-ins and TI’s) and employee sponsored (outreach and promotions).

    · Motivates the sales staff and monitors their production levels by using the established protocols and sales systems.

    · Conduct daily production meeting with sales team.

    · Maintain an acceptable level of personal production

    · Reviews monthly schedule of training, sales promotions and department meetings.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    · High School diploma with 5 years direct working experience in the fitness industry, preferably in a gym location.

    · Must have positive attitude and be able to motivate staff in a positive manner

    · Possess good leadership qualities.

    · Possess strong motivational, communication, team building and training skills.

    · Be self-motivated and strong organizational and management skills.

    · Ability and experience in effectively motivating and managing an entire staff of employees.

    · Be promotionally-oriented and have the ability to direct sales through company required outreach programs.

    · Must be able to take direction and adhere to Company polices, as well as apply company policy consistently in the gym on a daily basis.

    · Comprehensive knowledge of all facility operational, sales, and management systems.

    · Proficient in the use of all software programs that are utilized at the facility.

    · Successfully demonstrate leadership of effectively running staff meetings.

    · Must have successfully participated in all sales training activities.

    · Must have through knowledge of front desk operations and the contents of the Front Desk Training manual.

    · Demonstrate understanding of the Daily Sales Stat report and its contents in regards to achieving overall gym goals as well as affecting positive change in weak performance areas.

    · Must be able to successfully pass all testing requirements including gym tours, telephone inquiry, counselor planner audit, guest card audit, lead box/bowl program, referral program and corporate outreach program, Social Media Platforms.

    Compensation Eligibility:

    Commissions: Yes, As defined by the current compensation plan. Bonuses- Yes, As defined by the current compensation plan. Housing- apartment provided

    Assigned Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

    May need to work additional hours or weekends to complete assignments as requested. Recommended Schedule !0 am-7 pm Monday-Friday
