    Type: Full-time; Exempt

    About the Health & Safety Program Specialist position

    We are looking for a leader who will ensure technical and legal compliance with all health, and safety laws and regulations.

    Health & Safety Program Specialist responsibilities are:

    • Create, develop, and audit all HS-related programs as they pertain to TOSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, and any other local, state, or federal regulations

    • Communicate regularly with the Senior HS Specialist and provide them with feedback.

    • Participate and conduct regular wall-to-wall safety reviews, document findings, develop prioritized action plans, and coordinate with other organizations to rectify timely.

    • Regularly review the entire company premise to ensure compliance, identify deficiencies, develop action plans to resolve, and follow up.

    • Proactively assess the safety and health risks on site; inspect potential hazards, use problem identification and solving techniques in resolving issues.

    • Create and administer and update new hire orientation training, along with develop training yearly training plans to align with state and federal regulations

    • Execute or develop knowledge of program writing for local, state, and federal occupational safety standards

    • Effectively communicate with management, employees, and outside regulatory agencies

    • Perform research and develop understanding of compliance regulations

    • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Position requirements are:

    Education:

    • (Required) Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety/Occupational Safety Engineering related field; or 2-3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance technical writing

    Experience:

    • (Preferred) 2-3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance technical writing

    Language:

    • (Required) Good command of written and spoken English
    • (Preferred) Good command of written and spoken Korean

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus, general office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend stairs
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
    • Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery
    • Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom drawers of file cabinets
    • Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
