Health Science Lab Coordinator:
Role: The Health Science Lab Coordinator coordinates and supervises activities of the Health Science Skills Labs and Simulation Centers.
The salary range of $20.02 to $30.03 hourly.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
30% Plan and organize daily activities of the skills labs and assist with activities in the simulation centers.
10% Participate as a resource person for all Health Science programs to develop skills lab and simulation policies and procedures for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
10% Assist in planning the program budgets for lab supplies and equipment.
10% Maintain, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues in skills and simulation labs.
10% Coordinate scheduling of lab space for student / program use.
5% Maintain relationships with vendors and agencies to facilitate the purchase and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
5% Collaborate with the Health Science Directors, Coordinators, and faculty to develop and maintain equipment and supply inventory to meet the needs of faculty and students.
5% Provide assistance to students to promote positive learning experiences and successful completion of course and program objectives.
5% Participate on college committees, Health Science program committees, and in college wide activities.
5% Assist with grant and donor expense tracking and budget reconciliation.
5% Maintain records regarding purchase, warranty, and maintenance of all skills lab and simulation equipment.

Qualifications: Experience:
Licensed Healthcare Professional
A current and unencumbered healthcare license in the State of Texas.
Minimum of three years professional clinical experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required.
Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal and organizational skills to provide leadership for potential and current students, as well as faculty. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Other Skills:O Knowledge of computer operating systems and maintenance. Knowledge of budget preparation and management.
Physical Skills: A typical office environment. Work may require some evening and weekend availability.
This position requires submission of transcript copies and three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
