Under the supervision of the Summer Camp Manager, the Health Services Coordinator (HSC) provides and oversees health services for client groups, assists with program and policy development, and assists with other program administration as needed. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Serve as the medical liaison between Pathfinder Ranch and clients
Provide medical care to clients and Ranch employees as needed
Maintain accurate medical records and logs
Ensure compliance with camp policies, accreditation standards, and health and safety codes
Continuously evaluate health and safety policies and procedures and provide feedback to the Program Manager for potential changes to manuals and staff trainings
Help train and monitor other program employees to ensure adherence of policies and procedures
Participate in regular program meetings to communicate medical-related updates
Aid in the development and enforcement of risk management procedures
Conduct regular site and equipment safety inspections
Assist with program and facility-related projects
Create a medical supply budget, maintain/organize the supplies, and submit supply requests to the Program Manager
Assist with emergency response procedures in case of an alarm or other emergency
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
18 years of age or older
Advanced medical training certificate or license (e.g. RN, EMT, Wilderness First Responder, Medical Assistant, etc.)
Maintain Adult and Child First Aid & CPR/AED certifications from a nationally recognized provider (at least 50% of the course must be in-person with a practical skills session)
Previous experience working in and/or managing a health service center is preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients (Spanish speaking skills is preferred), and give constructive feedback to colleagues
Self-motivated and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Must be detail-oriented, flexible, self-motivated, organized, and have good time management
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Publisher
Maintain a valid driver’s license, be able to operate a motor vehicle, and be insurable in the state of California
Attentive to detail, flexible, self-motivated, organized, and good time management
Communicate and coordinate with participant parents/guardians/group liaisons
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years supervisory experience in a camp setting
Bilingual or multilingual
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry 50 lbs. with reasonable accommodations
Work a varied shift schedule in excess of 10 hours per day
Traverse several miles per day on steep and uneven terrain in a variety of weather conditions.
Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard

$700.00 - $1400.00 per week
