HealthFitness has a new opportunity for an early-riser to join our growing team as a part-time (approximately 10-20 hours per week) SERVICE DESK ATTENDANT in WEST HARTFORD, CT! This position is located in our client's family friendly community center that houses an extensive aquatic program and fitness offerings as well. In this role you will be the first point of contact for members. Your responsibilities will include check-in of members, distributing towels, answering phones, taking reservations, locker room and laundry duties, general cleaning duties, maintaining customer service awareness, promoting activities and ringing up merchandise on the point of sale computer. 

MORNING SHIFT AVAILABLE; STARTING AT 5:30AM WHEN THE FACILITY OPENS!

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PRIMARY:

• Check-in member/guest into facility, using the code scanner.
• Distribute towels, and locker keys; load/unload and fold and stack towels while following safety regulations.  
• Have knowledge of programs and services.
• Answer phones.
• Take reservations for programs and services.
• Provide information to members/guests regarding facility services and programs.
• Keep front desk counter clean.
• Sell services/merchandise through register.

SECONDARY:

• Assist supervisor with organizing/staffing special events.
• Problem solve for current members.
• Other duties as assigned by the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency and word processing experience required.
• Must be customer service oriented.
• Current First Aid, CPR/AED certifications from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety & Health Institute required within first 60 days.
• Applicants must meet hiring requirements including, but not limited to, pre-employment drug test.
