We are seeking an experienced and passionate Healthcare Instructor to teach Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, and EKG Technician courses. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, hands-on training, and preparing students for certification exams. This role requires a strong background in healthcare, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver curriculum for Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, and EKG Technician programs.
Provide hands-on training in venipuncture, patient care techniques, EKG procedures, and other essential skills.
Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with industry standards.
Ensure students understand theoretical concepts and gain practical experience.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain a safe and effective learning environment, including proper use of medical equipment.
Stay updated with industry standards and certification requirements.
Assist students with certification exam preparation.
Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and progress reports.
Provide mentorship and career guidance to students.
Qualifications:
Education: Minimum of an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in Phlebotomy, Medical Assisting, or EKG procedures. Teaching or training experience is preferred.
Certifications: Must hold relevant certifications such as:
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA)
Certified EKG Technician (CET)
Skills:
Strong instructional and presentation skills.
Ability to engage and motivate students.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Proficiency in using educational technology and simulation tools.
Other Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check.
CPR/BLS certification preferred.
