Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Attorney (Partner)

They are a vibrant, busy, and growing full-service law firm and looking to increase its talented rank of attorneys by adding a Partner with a demonstrated interest and experience of eight plus years in Healthcare Transactional & Regulatory Law.
A successful candidate must be able to interpret complex health care regulations and statutes and apply them to business and transactional matters. The candidate will need to be able to build a rapport with doctors, hospitals, and other healthcare providers. Some responsibilities will include but are not limited to counseling clients in matters such as fraud, abuse, employment, shareholder agreements, mergers, and acquisitions, etc.
Responsibilities
- Counsel and represent a diverse clientele of individual clients, partnerships, corporations,and not-for-profit organizations in healthcare mergers, acquisitions, equity investments,and other strategic transactions.
- Provide expert legal guidance on daily corporate governance matters and offer actionablesolutions to complex issues.
- Advise healthcare providers, including skilled nursing facilities, diagnostic and treatmentcenters, imaging centers, home health care agencies, assisted living facilities, managementservice organizations, and physician practices.
- Handle matters related to fraud and abuse, licensure, employment, shareholder andpartnership agreements, affiliation agreements, and buy/sell agreements.
- Offer outside general counsel services to various entities, including nursing home operatorsand large physician practices.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop innovative legal strategies andsolutions.
What you will need to have:
- Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in New York and in good standing.
- Exceptional understanding of healthcare regulations, industry practices and emergingtrends.
- Eight plus years in healthcare law. We welcome those who have experience working as in-house counsel to healthcare entities such as ProHealth, Northwell, CityMD, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, work independently with limited oversight andprioritize work tasks in an effective manner.
- Proven ability to creatively accomplish organization goals while assessing and managinglegal risk.
- Collaborative with a can-do attitude balanced with the ability to gracefully communicatedifficult messages.
- Comfortable working with all levels of business professionals, including seniormanagement and all colleagues at other departments in a fast-paced environment.
