    The Position

    As a Cardiac Clinic Triage Nurse , you will provide specialized nursing care in an ambulatory cardiology setting, performing telephone triage, patient education, lab result reviews, and assisting with in-clinic procedures, including IV Lasix administration. This role is essential in ensuring efficient and compassionate care for heart failure patients.

    Your Day-to-Day Work

    • Conduct nurse telephone triage , providing clinical guidance to patients.
    • Educate patients and families on heart failure management, medications, and disease progression.
    • Manage and administer IV Lasix therapy in the clinic.
    • Review lab results and follow up with patients as needed.
    • Coordinate care and referrals to other specialties, including general cardiology, electrophysiology, and community resources.
    • Assist in emergency situations within the clinic.
    • Collaborate closely with medical assistants, schedulers, and providers to support patient care.
    • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

    Environment and Shift Details

    This is a full-time, onsite position at our MultiCare Deaconess Hospital Campus in our Heart Failure Clinic. The role operates Monday through Friday in a fast-paced cardiology clinic. Nurses must be adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable handling multiple tasks in a high-volume setting.

    Experience & Qualifications

    Must-Haves

    • Active WA Registered Nurse (RN) license before start date.
    • Ability to obtain ID and OR RN licenses within 90 days (paid for by CSC).
    • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
    • Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
    • Strong clinical skills in triage, patient education, IV therapy, and cardiac nursing.
    • Excellent communication and computer skills (EPIC experience preferred).

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Prior experience in cardiology, heart failure, or outpatient triage nursing.
    • Knowledge of EKG interpretation and IV medication administration.
