    Job Description

    Truck Centers, Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for Service Technicians and Certified Diesel Mechanics at all experience levels to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you play a crucial role in our Service department, helping keep our customers on the road by delivering top-notch repairs and maintenance.

    **This position will work Tuesday-Friday 1pm-11pm.

    We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 based on experience.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Perform consistent, high-quality work according to OEM, warranty, and dealership standards.
    • Read repair orders, observe and listen to vehicle operation, obtain diagnostics information, identify root cause malfunctions, plan work procedures, and perform necessary repairs on a vehicle as authorized.
    • Tackle general and major repairs across various truck systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, HVAC, electronics, and more.
    • Document your diagnostic findings, repair progress, and completed work thoroughly to keep our customers informed and ensure smooth warranty processing.
    • Work closely with the Parts department to verify parts and collaborate with the Shop Foreman and Service Administration team for status updates or assistance.
    • Ensure every repair meets quality standards by performing checks and road tests to confirm the issue is resolved.

    What We're Looking For:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements is required
    • Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred
    • Certificate from a diesel tech training school or a minimum of 4 years mechanical medium- or heavy-duty truck service experience in a shop setting or military installation
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to providing quality work
    • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
    • Candidates must have their own tools; TCI provides specialty and OEM-required tooling for on-site, communal use
    • Must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
