    Job Description

    Reporting into the General Manager, the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Manager would be in charge of daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance, fixing mechanical issues as they arise, managing technicians.

    Essential Duties:

    • Create, implement and maintain an up-to-date Preventative Maintenance Plan for all company heavy equipment, including cranes, forklifts, shear, skid steer, along with any other equipment and facilities.
    • Continuously evaluates the condition of the equipment of the company to identify potential maintenance and upgrades, as part of a Preventive Maintenance Plan.
    • Ensures that designed buildings, plants and facilities are fit for the purpose and provides proactive support and solutions for repairs when required.
    • Fulfills all facility maintenance requests in a timely and most cost-effective manner.
    • Sets department objectives/KPIs and reviews and asses the ongoing performance of the Maintenance and Fabrication departments.
    • Oversees, manages, and directs all Maintenance and Fabrication procedures and operations.
    • Oversees, manages, and directs all Maintenance and Fabrication staff by effectively delegating any maintenance issues to the right skilled individuals.
    • Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly.
    • Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
    • Conducts monthly inventory.
    • Assess current maintenance work processes, to optimize efficiency.
    • Use data analysis to help prepare for and prevent future problems.
    • Train new employees in maintenance and fabrication work processes and procedures.
    • Record and track daily progress/error reports.
    • Maintain vendor relationships and order new materials as needed.
    • Enforce all health and safety rules and regulations according to state/federal laws and company protocol.
    • Complete mandatory weekly/monthly or as needed, safety trainings via computer in an office environment.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned
