Heavy Equipment Mechanic
(Green Valley, AZ)
Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting/repairing diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy construction/mining equipment (dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, shovels, off highway trucks etc.) and power generation systems at a customer-facing demonstration and learning center. 1 -5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience required.
Required skillsets:
· Possess a basic understanding of heavy equipment systems and repair techniques
· Knowledge of heavy equipment components and systems.
· Utilizes service manuals, maintenance manuals and equipment schematics
· Basic computer skills
· Knowledge in the use of computer based diagnostic tools
· Performs tasks with minimum supervision using experience and good judgment
· Effectively communicates, both written and verbally with facility staff, product group engineering leads, dealers, and customers regarding machine problems or suggested improvements
· Ability to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies and use of all required safety equipment.
· Works effectively in a team environment and easily performs the role of team member
· Basic welding and cutting skills (preferred)
· Must possess acceptable attendance to meet all company standards and requirements
· Ability to obtain CDL
Job Responsibilities:
· Repair, re-condition, trouble-shoot, and maintain heavy equipment
· Assemble and dis-assemble heavy equipment used in heavy construction, and mining industries.
· Install, repair and maintain various technology products on heavy equipment
· Operates all construction/mining/maintenance equipment safely for intended purpose
· Performs work utilizing safe practices and complying with all company safety policies, procedures and standards
· Performs work duties out of a field service truck
· Maintain company equipment – keeping in a good, clean, orderly condition

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
