Ecosouth Florida is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join the team. They must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Performs all work in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. • Performs minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. • Completes required paperwork utilizing the Vehicle Maintenance Program associated with repairing the heavy equipment, documenting parts usage and repair times. • Washes vehicles and equipment. • Conducts safety checks on vehicles. • Assists Lead Mechanics in the completion of project work. • Performs work on various equipment such as skid steers, excavators, etc. • Performs other maintenance-related work as assigned or required. • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company policy and OSHA Standards. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED is required • Valid driver's license and must have a clean driving record. • Legally eligible to work in the United States. • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. • Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, and background check, which will include previous employment check and motor vehicle record review. • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and/or similar elements. • Will not need sponsorship. Compensation: $25 - $30 hourly
