Our successful heavy equipment mechanic candidate understands vehicle electrical and computer systems and is able to properly diagnose and fix repairs. Responsibilities: • Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships • Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes • When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Performs all work in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. • Performs minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. • Completes required paperwork utilizing the Vehicle Maintenance Program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage and repair times. • Assists in the repair and adjustment of equipment. • Washes vehicles and equipment. • Conducts safety checks on vehicles. • Assists Lead Mechanics in the completion of project work. • Assists with service calls for breakdowns. • Performs other maintenance-related work as assigned or required. • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with company policy and OSHA Standards. Qualifications: • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal • Possess a high school diploma or GED • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary • Automotive Service Excellence /ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers /SAE certification is preferred • Valid driver's license and must have a clean driving record. • Legally eligible to work in the United States. • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. • Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, and background check, which will include previous employment check and motor vehicle record review. • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and/or similar elements. • Will not need sponsorship. Compensation: $20 - $25 hourly
