    Job Description:
    We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator for our client's team in Eliot, Maine.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery and a strong work ethic. This role involves operating front-end loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment to support construction, excavation, and other tasks at teh disposal landfill stations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
    • Perform daily inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
    • Load and unload materials as needed for projects.
    • Follow site plans, specifications, and instructions from supervisors.
    • Maintain a clean and organized worksite, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
    • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, particularly front-end loaders or excavators.
    • License/Certifications: No CDL required. Heavy equipment operator certification is preferred but not mandatory.
    • Skills:
      • Ability to read and interpret site plans and work orders.
      • Strong understanding of safety practices and procedures.
      • Proficiency in operating heavy machinery in a variety of weather and terrain conditions.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
