    What You’ll Do:

    The Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of heavy equipment to perform tasks related to site preparation, grading, excavation, and earthmoving. This role is integral to the successful completion of Stricklin & Porter's projects, which include dirt work, storm drainage system installation and demolition. The operator will work closely with project teams to meet required specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    Daily All Team Meeting Attendance: Attend and participate in daily all team meetings.

    Equipment Operation: Operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment to execute site grading, trenching, excavation, and other earthmoving activities.

    Site Preparation: Perform tasks related to site preparation, including the removal of soil, debris, and other materials, ensuring the site is ready for construction.

    Grading and Excavation: Complete precision grading and excavation tasks according to site plans and project requirements.

    Routine Maintenance: Conduct daily checks of equipment to ensure proper functionality and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.

    Safety Compliance: Adhere to company safety policies and procedures. Ensure safe working conditions for self and others on the job site.

    Collaboration.: Coordinate with the site supervisor, project managers, and other team members to achieve project milestones and deadlines.

    Task Flexibility: Assist in other construction-related tasks, including lime stabilization, storm drainage system installation, and sanitary sewer setup.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily work, equipment usage, and any issues encountered during operation.

    Performance Metrics:

    Timeliness: Complete at least 90% of assigned tasks within specified project timelines.

    Quality: Achieve 95% accuracy on grading and excavation work, based on project blueprints and site plans.

    Safety Compliance: Zero safety violations or incidents reported within a 6-month period.

    Equipment Maintenance: Report equipment issues within 24 hours of discovery and maintain machinery uptime at 95%.

    Communication: Respond to supervisor or project manager requests within 1 hour during working hours, with 100% compliance on documentation of daily tasks.
