    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy-duty forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack large and bulky materials in a safe and efficient manner.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate heavy forklifts (typically 10,000 lbs capacity or greater) to move materials, equipment, and products within a yard, warehouse, or job site.

    • Load and unload trucks, containers, or railcars using proper lifting techniques.

    • Stack and organize materials according to company standards and inventory needs.

    • Perform daily pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns.

    • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

    • Work with supervisors and team members to coordinate efficient material handling and job site organization.

    • Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory when required.

    • May assist with general labor or warehouse duties as needed.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    • Proven experience operating heavy-capacity forklifts (10,000 lbs or more).

    • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).

    • Ability to read and interpret load charts, safety protocols, and work instructions.

    • Physically fit to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials in varying weather conditions.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

    • Basic computer or inventory system experience is a plus.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in [construction/logistics/manufacturing/marine yard/etc.].

    • Ability to operate other heavy equipment (e.g., telehandlers, cranes, reach stackers) is a plus.

    • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is an advantage but not required.
