    Contract Length: June 2024 (end of fiscal) with strong potential to extend

    Our client, a professional services firm is seeking a skilled and imaginative Brand Strategist with a specialized focus on voice and verbal identity. As a vital member of the marketing team, you will be instrumental at consistently expressing these messages through language, ensuring a unified and recognizable voice across diverse communication channels. The selected candidate will likely be tasked with defining the unique language, style, and personality that represents the company in all written communications. The chosen candidate will ensure a consistent verbal identity across all touchpoints, from marketing materials to client communications, reinforcing the brand's character and will develop comprehensive guidelines that outline preferred language, style nuances, and communication principles to maintain a cohesive verbal identity.

    What you will do:

    • Develop and further the Brand Voice, Writing style and Messaging.
    • Develop and champion guidelines to enable consistency and clarity in messaging across the enterprise.
    • Collaborate to create positioning, names, voice, messaging, content strategy and content through services and experiences.
    • Contribute significantly to advancing verbal identity practices by continuously improving our quality and methodologies and develop intellectual property.
    • Implement tools and technology to effectively apply and govern brand voice and messaging.
    • Work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and across languages to unify as a single brand regardless of language or culture.
    • Understand the substance and style of a brand’s language and how it impacts the business.
    • Build trust with customers through language as a foundation.
    • Communicate with a strong verbal identity that aligns the brand.
    • Work collaboratively with the Brand Lead to ensure a seamless integration of strategic messaging and verbal identity within the global framework, resulting in a cohesive product.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
    • 15+ years of proven experience as a Brand Strategist or in a similar role, with a focus on voice and verbal identity.
    • Exceptional command of language with a keen understanding of linguistic nuances.
    • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to evoke emotions through words.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate brand insights into effective verbal strategies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Creativity and a deep appreciation for language trends and cultural nuances.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed and team-oriented environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute plans effectively.
    • Proven experience collaborating with global team members across various organizational levels.
    • Ability to adapt to changing role/project requirements and thrive in dynamic environments.
    • Strong initiative with the ability to drive projects forward independently, requiring minimal guidance.
    • Experience in successfully managing and rolling out similar projects to organizations.
    • Ideally developed or contributed to the development of training programs, especially in areas like brand voice.
    • A track record of implementing strategies and ensuring internal teams adopt and adhere to established verbal identity.
    • Proven capability to execute plans efficiently and effectively.
    • Considering candidates in ET/CT time zone to accommodate flexibility with international touchpoints and global meetings.
