    Help Me Grow Program Coordinator

    The Early Learning Coalition of Northwest Florida is looking for a candidate that has a can-do-attitude, is tenacious, energetic, hardworking, innovative, resourceful, and creative to join its Special Projects.

    Essential Duties and Qualifications:

    • Implement Child Healthcare Provider Outreach (CHCPO) activities to educate and motivate child healthcare providers to conduct child screenings and to utilize the HMGF centralized telephone access points.
    • Engaging and utilizing a Physician Champion to educate and motivate physician and other child healthcare providers to understand the importance of conducting child development screening.
    • Provide support to families in the community by answering child development questions, conducting child development screenings and providing care coordination and follow up assistance as needed.
    • Educate families in the community on available screening tools to include Ages and Stages Questionnaire 3 (ASQ 3), ASQ: Social Emotional 2 (ASQ:SE-2), Pediatric Symptoms Checklist (PSC) and the Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT-R/F).
    • Participate in community screening events.
    • Maintain, update and make additions to the database of child development resources and referrals as needed.
    • Manage referrals for families to community programs, services and other support resources.
    • Build collaboration across sectors, to include early care and education, healthcare and family support.
    • Submit monthly data reports as requested. Submit analysis reports and data collection semiannually on status of work done from the HMGF initiative.
    • Assimilate and submit training documentation, as requested, such as agendas, certificates sign in sheets and training logs.
    • Collaborate and assist with Family and Community Outreach with activities that develop associates and partners in the local community, promoting HMGF, and the importance of child developmental screenings across the community.
    • Oversee training of Coalition staff in HMGF initiatives as directed.
    • Provide support for coalition and HMGF events and activities, as directed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

    • Minimum of two years’ experience in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Development or related field.

    • Experience in case management and grant management preferred

    • Outstanding communication skills.

    • Experience completing child developmental screenings using the ASQ or similar tool preferred

    • Valid Florida Driver License
