Henry Ford Academy is a college prep high school (grades 9-12) located inside the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation & Greenfield Village and surrounded by the campus of Ford Motor Company. Students come from districts within Wayne County, as well as private, parochial, and home schools. The model partnership focuses some of the best thinking from the business, non-profit, and public education worlds toward the common goal of building a school that prepares students for life in the 21st century.
Job Title: Building Substitute Teacher
Job Summary:
Henry Ford Academy is seeking a full-time Building Substitute Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with attendance at after-school meetings throughout the month and participation in at least two extracurricular activities during the school year. Presence and participation at the school's graduation ceremony are also required.
Work Environment:
The Building Substitute Teacher will spend most of their time in classrooms and hallways within The Henry Ford Museum and/or Greenfield Village, interacting with students and staff, ensuring smooth transitions, and maintaining a positive school atmosphere.
