The Instructor provides high energy group fitness instruction through a variety of entertaining, educational, and fun classes promoting fitness and positive self-esteem in a safe environment. They act as a fitness resource for class participants and maintain positive relationships with members to encourage continued class attendance. The Instructor is responsible for consistently meeting daily class attendance goals as well as effectively promoting The Max Challenge programs, products and services.
· Accountabilities: (Tasks Associated with the Role) · Lead and motivate members throughout 45-minute classes utilizing the Max Challenge formula · Provide modifications to meet the age, fitness levels, and prior injury or health concerns of all members · Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that aligns with the culture and Max Challenge values · Engage with members utilizing their name and making personal contact throughout every class regardless of in person or at home attendance · Coach members toward the attainment of their individual goals · Provide Max Challenge nutritional support and coaching throughout the challenge and at predesignated nutrition changes · Celebrate member’s achievement of goals · Facilitate a sense of community, encouraging members to lean on one another throughout their journey · Execute proper cleaning procedures before and after class time · Assist with member outreach when requested by management · Facilitate both in person and virtual instruction simultaneously · Attend Kickoff and other center milestone events
Standards: · Execute all classes and nutrition coaching to the Max Challenge standard · Promote all Max Challenge products and services, promoting products/ services that compete with the Max Challenge will not be tolerated · Exhibit preparedness and dependability (review class plans prior to class time knowing all formats and exercises used) · Arrive to the center 15 minutes prior to class time and stay until all cleaning and member questions are answered · Start and end all classes at the designated times · Engage with all members · “Leave it at the door” always be upbeat, energetic, and positive · Instructors always present themselves in Max branded attire · Prioritize the safety of all members above all else, if you see something potentially hazardous or unsafe fix it in the moment, do not wait · AED / CPR certified · Max Certified – must pass all written and practical exams within the first 90 days of employment · Music will be free from profanity and obscenities
