New York Military Academy (NYMA) is seeking an experienced and passionate High School History Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach all core high school history courses, including Global History and Geography I & II, U.S. History and Government, Participation in Government, and Economics. Key Responsibilities:
• Instruction: Teach high school-level history courses, including Global History and Geography I & II, U.S. History and Government, Participation in Government, and Economics.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student understanding and appreciation of history and social studies.
• Assessment: Evaluate and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members to enhance the overall educational experience and support interdisciplinary learning.
• Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification.
• Experience of teaching high school history courses. Outstanding fresh graduates would also be considered.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
