    Job Description

    We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a portion of the warehouse fulfillment team, and report to the General Manager.

    SCHEDULE - PAY - LOCATION:

    • Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM ET, Monday to Friday
    • Pay: $20/hr to start, with bonuses or commission as applicable
    • Location: 510 West 27th Street, New York, NY, 10001

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Management: Supervise team of pickers and packers in order to get orders picked, packed, and shipped. You will have your own team of 2-3 people to manage.
    • In the short term, you will help with picking and packing so that you learn the systems, locations, etc. and are able to train new employees.
    • You will own a portfolio of accounts/companies that you are responsible for maintaining, operating, and communicating with
    • Communicate with these clients (founders of small ecommerce businesses) on order status when there are questions
    • Ensuring inventory levels are accurate
    • Work on the computer to print packing slips and shipping labels in a software that we will train you on
    • Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
    • Train and evaluate employees - help to hire employees to be on your team that you will manage
    • Do tasks that the General Manager asks you to do as needed
    • You will open the warehouse each morning to get it ready for the team
    • Resolve escalated customer complaints

    ​QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have strong written and communication skills
    • Computer experience
    • Desire to manage or Management Experience is a plus
    • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or other related fields
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • College degree a plus
    • Must complete a background check

We had 2 companies as clients in 2020, and now have 27 companies in 2021. 2022 will be a roller coaster ride of growth! We'll be looking to raise our first round of funding in 2022 - so it's no mistake to say you will be getting in early, before even the seed round of funding.
